This is an overview of the Prime Event Podcast service.

As we provide a music-based podcast, our focus is to provide as much exposure as possible for the artists that appear on our programs. Our goal is to provide incredible, exclusive live music to our audience in an enertaining and informative format.

As traditional terrestrial radio is being replaced by on-demand listening in the form of podcasting, we intend to become a leader in exclusive original live recordings, designed to convey the energy and masterful performances turned in by these top musicians in a live-performance format.

In order to provide this unparalleled access to these incredible performances, we have chosen to limit our offerings exclusively to original compositions. By working only with original compositions, we simplify the process of the composer granting us unlimited license to use the recordings we create anywhere within our music publishing system.

We can present excerpts, or entire songs to our listenership. We are not a host-driven program focused on a host personality, but rather a guided tour through the live event at the venue in front of a live audience. We pretty much stay out of the way as much as possible.

Of course a live performance may include music from many different sources, which is fine. But our focus is solely on the original compositions from our featured artist. In our opinion this transfers the essence of the featured artist to the listener. It is not just their interpretation of another composition (which is very common,) but rather a flat-out journey through the artists’ style and musicianship.

This unfettered access is by far the most amazing listening experience, and the most satisfying way to learn about our featured musicians.

How it Works

With over 45 years of live recording experience, we all benefit from the improvements in digital technology. Simply put, we bring our compact transformer-isolated splitter system to the venue and take our split from the mics right before the mics feed the venue inputs.

We know how to document your performance.

This keeps our feed separate and clean, and we both use the same stage mics. We are happy to mic the entire band, or just add our additional mics to the existing setup – whichever is easier. We then add 4 – 6 audience mics to capture the excitement.

Our system is small enough that we can set up anywhere backstage with only a single cat5 cable running from our small onstage preamps. This is as compact as it gets, and we have worked in the absolute smallest venues taking up essentially no space. We just cut .wav files stored on our chips.
